LL Cool J, O'Donnell Say Y-E-S to NCIS Spinoff

The deals are now done, and Chris O'Donnell and recording artist LL Cool J are on board for CBS" much-ballyhooed NCIS spinoff.
O'Donnell will play Callen, a chameleon-like lead agent, while LL's character, a former Navy SEAL, is described as hard on the outside but "thoughtful, eloquent and disarmingly charming" under the surface.
Previously announced castings include CSI alumna Louise Lombard (as the series' female lead, a military police major turned investigator), Peter Cambor (playing a quick-witted operational psychologist) and newcomer Daniela Ruah (as a young investigator specializing in forensics and criminology).
Created by NCIS boss Shane Brennan, the spinoff will air later this season as a two-part episode of NCIS.

Exxxcellent! The Simpsons for Two More Seasons

Looks like The Simpsons' new HD opening credits will be around for awhile.
Fox has ordered two more seasons of The Simpsons, which will bring the longest-running primetime show in history to a whopping 493 episodes. The show is currently in its 20th season.
The announcement of 44 new episodes comes in the midst of "Best. 20. Years. Ever.," a global, yearlong celebration of all things The Simpsons that will culminate in the 20th anniversary of the show's debut on January 14, 2010.

End of Stargate Atlantis

Season 5 of Stargate Atlantis was the last series. Stargate Universe will replace it in the near future with Actor Robert Carlyle taking the lead role.
Like all great series, eventually they run out of energy and have to make way for new concepts. I suspect that like Startrek generations, Stargate and Stargate Atlantis will go on forever simply because they represent brilliant story telling and push the boundaries of the imagination. Strangely these Sci-Fi series have a way of creating their own virtual world that draws you in.
There is some excellent TV shows at the moment (24 & Damages) that suck you into their virtual world and have the power to surprise and make you think.

ABC Likes "Beeper King," Buffy Alum

Amid a bevy of pilot casting announcements, ABC has tapped Dean Winters — aka 30 Rock's Dennis-the-Beeper King — to play the father of an abducted girl in Happy Town, a mystery about a small town shaken by the return of a serial kidnapper.
The Alphabet network's See Cate Run pilot, meanwhile, has cast Marc Blucas (Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Riley) as a campaign strategist who sees potential in Amy Smart's prosecuting attorney/eventual White House hopeful.

While gal pal Paris Hilton collects a dubious honor, Nicole Richie is reveling in the best news of all.
A little over 13 months after the birth of their first child, Richie and longtime beau Joel Madden have announced that they are once again expecting.

Cold Case ,this is a great show，i watched all the episodes...but, i cant understand why dont they put a final when the murder doesnt confes and they got him because of evidence c'on!! one time, the guy can confes... 2, maybe 3 but 22 times for season is too much!!!does someone think like i do?does anyone knows why is this? i guess it will keep being like that, but well.. thats just my opinion :P
i think that the storys re very good, they just need a better ending.besides that i have to say that is a great show and i watched every week.

Farscape-Great Sci-fi Show

Farscape is a great sci-fi shows. A show that is as unique and versitile as Farscape makes you want to tune in for each episode to see just what will happen next. Full of humorous quips and different plots make for never dull episodes. Ben Browder and Claudia Black are geat togethe even in the beginning when they do nothing other than argue with each other. I love the allusions throughout the entire sreies that the other characters can't understand due to the fact that the show takes place in a far off galaxy. Al in all a great show to watch.

We temporarily interrupt this Stargate news coverage for some frelling (and frakking) big news from SCI FI Channel. The network has just announced its new development slate for the coming year, which includes an 8-week series of "mini-sodes" leading up to Battlestar Galactica: Razor and ... drumroll ... the return of Farscape.Fans will return to the Farscape universe in an original Web series. The 10-part series is executive produced by Brian Henson and Robert Halmi, Jr., and produced by The Jim Henson Company in association with RHI Entertainment. "The series will revive and expand the beloved Farscape universe," according to the network.No word yet on just which actors or characters will be involved in the project, or just when it will arrive. After being unceremoniously cancelled after four seasons, the critically-acclaimed Farscape (starring Stargate's Ben Browder and Claudia Black) returned in 2004 for the 4-hour miniseries Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars.The show is one of several new original programs in development for the Web site, which boasts itself to be the world's largest sci-fi entertainment Web site with more than 3 million unique visitors each month. As fans of Battlestar Galactica get ready for the November 24 premiere of the telemovie "Razor" -- which will delve into the backstory of the Battlestar Pegasus, her crew, and Admiral Cain (Michelle Forbes) -- the network has another surprise. The ensemble for CBS' planned NCIS spinoff continues to flesh out. Not long after it was reported that Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J are circling two lead roles, three other characters have been cast.
Louise Lombard, who played CSI's Sofia Curtis for three seasons, has landed what is considered the series' female lead: Clara, a former major in the military police turned investigator.
The Hollywood Reporter also reports that Peter Cambor (Notes from the Underbelly) will play Nate, a quick-witted operational psychologist.
Just as NCIS was born of a JAG episode, this latest offshoot will kick off as an episode ofNCIS .

Of course,it is different from The X Files. Tells the story of a group of knowledgeable and have the courage to explore beyond Earth earth mother planet ATLANTIS story, each has a distinctive role and characteristics of personality I like this series is also one of the reasons why. Its effects and so on have to do very well.

Time-Shifting Idol Gives Lost a Nosebleed

A "special" two-hour edition of American Idol averaged 24.6 million total viewers, dropping 1.6 mil week-to-week. CBS' sitcombo of Old Christine (7.06 mil, down 380K) and Gary Unmarried (6.86 mil, down 210K) each dipped a bit. Knight Rider gained 450 thou to hit 5.4 mil, while this week's Lost repeat reaped 4.4 mil.
Opposite Idol's "special" second hour, Criminal Minds (13.26 mil) fell 600K, while lost sank 11 percent to a series-low 9.76 mil. (That said, lost was for a fourth straight week Wednesday's highest-rated scripted show in the key demos, and it built its audience from start to finish.)
CSI: NY dominated with 12.85 million viewers, gaining 1.1 mil from its last fresh outing. Law & Order (7.52 mil) plunged 13 percent, while Life on Mars (5.14 mil) lost 860 thou.

MATT: Did it occur to you that MDK was working the Walt 'do because he recently filmed an episode of lost, scheduled to air Feb. 25? Just don't expect Michael's son to factor into Ben's mission to return select former castaways to the isle. As Michael Emerson tells us, "The writers would say that Walt ... left the island at a time that wasn't key. It's not just about the six who left; it's about when and how they left."
I heard a rumor that CSI: NY's Adam saves a life in an upcoming episode. Is this true? — Rebecca
TIM: "Adam doesn't save a life, but he does rescue someone who is very much alive," says executive producer Pam Veasey, who also told the Buzz what's up with Lindsay and Danny. Lindsay will take time off to go back to Montana and "share her pregnancy with her family." But when the baby's born, she and Danny find that balancing work and a newborn isn't easy. Oh, and Veasey refers to them as "the Messer family," the second huge hint producers have dropped that fans will get an early Valentine this week.

Battlestar Prequel Caprica Will Debut on DVD

Now this is peculiar. Caprica's two-hour pilot/TV movie will debut on DVD on April 21.
That's at least eight months before the Battlestar Galactica prequel begins its 22-episode run on the Sci Fi Channel.
Caprica traces the story of two families, the Adamas and the Greystones. Eric Stoltz stars as Daniel Greystone, whose work with computers crosses ethical lines in the field of artificial intelligence. Central to the series' place in the Battlestar mythology is the story of the first Cylon.

Numb3rs is unlike any other crime drama like CSI or NCIS or law and order. This show is a great new idea because it is unique. It uses maths to help solve crime so there is always something to back up the evidence with. It uses a lot of complex Maths equations and skills which i have picked up whilst watching the show for the last 3 1/2 years. It also has a nice mix of action (car chases and plenty of it's shooting scenes) The storylines remain exciting and imformative 85% of the time. The show is exciting and educational (in some ways) so that;s why it's my personal favourite!
