eternal salvation for his family. When his estranged wife, Nicki, crashes the bread-and-water party,tensions dissolve as she introduces her heretofore-unheard-of teenaged daughter.
Grey's Anatomy's Derek uses a series of CT scans from some of his early surgeries alongside Meredith to offer her the kind of "love in an

elevator" that lasts a lifetime. He never actually pops the question, and she never says yes, but when did they ever play by the rules? It is, for many, just what the doctor ordered.
After getting chummy with the 1977 version of Benjamin Linus — and allowing the lad to stage a jailbreak — Lost's Sayid fulfills his believed purpose by putting a bullet in young Ben's chest, presumably to stop him from becoming the man that makes the

castaways' lives hell years later. Slightly predictable? Maybe. Will it stick? Probably not. Still shocking? You bet.

Yes, the rumors of Edie Britt's imminent departure from Desperate Housewives swirled for months, but we never expected her to go

out like this. After escaping Dave's chokehold and crashing head-on into a light pole, she gets zapped by a downed power line. Edie always was a spark plug.
Battlestar Galactica's finale was filled with so many thrilling moments and emotional goodbyes, it's hard to pick just one moment. But we'll

go with Chief being treated to a flashback, revealing how fellow Cylon Tory murdered his wife by airlock. With a wild-eyed look of rage, he grabs her by the throat and chokes her to death. Payback is a motherfrakker.
