Sopranos

Lillo Brancato Jr. was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison for his role in an attempted burglary in which an off-duty police officer was killed. The actor, who had a role in The Sopranos and starred alongside Robert De Niro in A Bronx Tale, was convicted of attempted burglary in the 2005 incident, but acquitted of felony murder.Brancato's lawyers argued that he was high on drugs during the break-in, and that he had been trying to enter the home of a friend who had provided him with drugs before, the AP reports.During the attempted robbery, Officer Daniel Enchautegui, who lived next door, investigated when he heard breaking glass, and was shot in the heart. In a separate trial, Brancato's friend, Steven Armento, was sentenced to life in prison for murdering the officer.
